If the iBuyers are bullshitting about ‘pricing algorithms,’ which of their other pronouncements can be trusted?
I wish reporters would take well-informed experts along on #iBuyer interviews to ask the follow-up questions. The claims reported everywhere are absurd, and none are backed by evidence that I have seen – where pricing-by-algorithm, at least, would seem to be a big fat lie.
To insist that the iBuyers are nothing to worry about is simply daft. If you can actually get the appointment, you stand a good chance of making a deal that gets you paid. But even getting the appointment will be a harder and harder close, going forward.
When you suck at one job, it’s likely you suck at every job. But when you suck at the only job that matters – moving the product – my guess is that either you’re not serious or you’re not trying hard enough.
